The Qingdao Coking Gas Company, set up July 2000, is situated in Sifang Uban Industrial Park. It can supply 420,000tons of good cokes, 23,000 tons of coke every year and its daily gas supply capacity is as high as 1million cubic meters. It provides sufficient resources for the entire city of Qingdao including Sifang Urban Industrial Park.

Qingdao Gas Group is a large group corporation formed in April 2002 by the merging of the Qingdao Gas Group with the Qingdao Gas Company. Currently, the group has more than 10 subsidiaries including the Qingdao Coking Gas Company, Qingdao Gas Company and the Heating and Power Company. A diversified group, it provides a series of products and services including furnace coke production and distribution, gas production and distribution, after sales service of liquefied gas, liquefied natural gas, design, construction and maintenance of gas supply networks, gas vehicles modification, gas utility sales, installation and maintenance and heating and power supply.

The group has fixed assets of RMB 1.56billion. Its daily gas supplying capacity is 1million m3 and it is annually capable of supplying 420,000 tons of coke and 23,000 tons of tar.

Currently the group's customers number as follows; 320,000 for pipeline gas, 290,000 for bottled gas and 13,000 in the industrial and public welfare category. The group has a 1300km pipe network and 300 pressure-adjusting stations. At the Shuiqinggou Heating and Power Plant, currently under construction, two 130-ton circulating fluidized bed boilers will be installed. These will have the capacity of annually supplying 844,000 tons of heat and generating 108,000,000 KWH of power.

The group has its own trains and two railways that connect with the Jiaoji Railway. It has advanced equipment and techniques for producing gas and for coking and bottling liquefied gas. It has acquired French bottling equipment and a German tamping system. The group regards quality and reputation as most important. Their whole process of coking, producing, supplying gas, designing, constructing, running the pipeline network and servicing after sales has passed the ISO9002 certification system of quality management. Their furnace cokes have been exported to the USA, Japan, India, Italy, Canada, Korea, and Peru, earning them nearly US$20million.

In recent years, the Group has stipulated the policies "Diversified Investment, Comprehensive Operation, Efficient Capital Management, Scientific Management, Coordinated Group Development and Branded services". It has established the framework of coke, gas, heating, and power supplying. It has trained its own "yuming" and "Taineng" services and implemented high- quality residential services.

Taineng Industrial Park, as the component of Sifang Urban Industrial Park, will offer high-quality service and high-grade infrastructure for domestic and overseas investors.
